Mercer University is an NCAA DivisionI institution and competes in the Southern Conference. Mercer first fielded an athletic team in 1892 when they played the University of Georgia in Athens. They are the only private institution in Georgia competing in Division I Athletics. Our team helped the leadership team in Athletics develop a new interior design to better reflect the program’s deep history.
